JOSEPH LEFTWICH

Joseph was born in Gwinnett GA and raised in Middletown NJ until age 7 when his family moved to the Charlotte area. Joseph attended Forest Hill Church, where he served in kids, youth, and worship all through middle and high school. While in college online at the University of South Carolina, Joseph started his internship with Forest Hill Church with the kids and youth. One of his favorite parts of his role was getting to take kids and students to camp and watch them experience life transformation. After a year and a half as an Intern, Joseph transitioned into a dual role on staff with the kids and youth. He focused most of his efforts with PreTeen-12th grade, creating an inviting environment where kids and students could feel welcome.

Joseph enjoys playing disc golf and he loves to eat! He is always searching for the best nachos around. Joseph got married in 2023 and moved to Hickory with his wife Shannon. His desire for Discovery Church is that the Youth feel like they have a place to belong, a place where they can show up and feel at home.
