The first two photos are The Germain Family, The mother, Rose, is a single mother. She has four children in her household, three of whom are of school age and currently in school. She works hard running a small business to provide for her family. The fact that she is able to pay the education tuition of all of her children who are of school age is a significant accomplishment. While she has done a great job of providing for her family so far, she simply doesn't not have the income to rebuild her home on her own. As of this month, the foundation of their new home is in progress!

The Bernard family, is onto the final steps of their house which are roofing and painting, they will be able to move back into their home!

The Sanon family, lost their home due to the earthquake and is in need of a new home in order to keep their family together. We are looking forward to seeing how progress is made in the weeks and months to come. Please join us in prayer for the rebuilding of their home to go quickly and smoothly!

The Felix family like many others, lost their home in the August earthquake as well. There are eight people in their home, five of whom are children. The father, David, is a farmer. The mother, Janette, used to be a tailor, but the house collapsed on her sewing machine during the earthquake.

The process to rebuild their home went extremely fast. They were identified by Overture International as a housing candidate in March, and their house was just finished a couple weeks ago! You will see a photo of their collapsed original house, as well as their completed new home! We are celebrating with them!

The Petit family consists of a mother, father, and five children. Even before the August earthquake, the parents had a difficult time meeting the needs of their children because of their limited income as farmers in an impoverished area. After the earthquake destroyed their home, the family was forced to separate, and one of the mother's sisters took in two of their five children. This photo is the temporary shelter they were living in before becoming a housing candidate with Overture International.

Since their new home has been completed, the Petit family has been working with Overture International to reunify with their other two children. Now that they have the stability of a home, we are hopeful this will be a smooth process. Please join us in prayer for this family as they work toward reunification!

The Laurent family was identified as a family in need of a new home by Overture International earlier this spring. The mother, Jenise, and father, Paul, live with their four children. Paul is a rice farmer, and Jenise trades chicken and other food products. All four of their children are still in school, which is an accomplishment considering the cost of education tuition. While Jenise and Paul are able to meet the day to day needs of their family, they did not have the resources to rebuild their home, which was reduced to rubble as a result of the earthquake.

Their home was rebuilt quick and was finished a couple of weeks ago! We are so praising God with them!

The Dorvil family lives in a community where most homes were destroyed in the August earthquake, including their own. Stephania and Gilbert Dorvil have three children, ages 1-11. Gilbert was a teacher as a small public elementary school in their town, but after years of not being paid regularly, Gilbert resigned. Now, their family sustains their income through farming and breeding livestock. They were identified as a candidate for a new home through Overture International in March, and we just got word from Overture that their home was completed this month! We are currently waiting on photos of their finished home.

These stories are a testimony to the impact of your gift. Your generosity made these new homes possible! Please keep Haiti and these families in your prayers!
