Call team: If you know someone who needs to talk, our call team will reach out. They can expect a phone call within a day.

Meal team: Discovery Church has four teams of three people that are on a rotation. They will provide a meal for various reasons to include birth of a child, sickness, surgery, or funeral. Once a need is made known to Krisha, she will then look at the star teams and small groups the recipient is involved in and ask people in those areas to provide meals. If more meals are needed OR the recipient is not involved in a star team or small group, then the meal team will provide. The recipient can expect a meal within two to three days of the first notification. The maximum number of meals a meal team can provide per week is two.

Card team: There are many reasons for cards, including: get well, encouragement, non-terminal illness, health issues, marriage anniversary, birthdays, in memory and grief books, service recognition, surgery, follow-up as needed, sympathy, care giver, terminally ill, aging, depression, wedding, new baby, and adoption. If you know someone who could use a card, please let Krisha know. They can expect a card to be sent within three days.

Visitation team: This is a new team. The goal is to go meet people where they are and be present in their world for a time. The expectation is to be present for them and help them be seen.

Transportation team: This team will come to the church on Sunday morning to get the van and take the van to safe harbor to pick up the ladies and bring them to church. Once they are dropped off at the door the van is to be parked back under the carport at the Roseman house and keys left in the drawer where they were picked up. The expectation is to drive once a month.

Bill Pay: This is funded by our James Fund. Any unallocated cash that comes into the church will be put into the James fund that is used to help congregants with bills. The expectation is that we can help a household once a year up to $150.

Vehicle repairs: If someone needs help with vehicle repairs we will get them pointed in the right direction.

Counseling: This ministry is offered to everyone; Discovery Church has two licensed mental health professionals who will meet with members and attenders at no charge. External clients are asked to pay $15 per session to hold their spot. This is Christian based counseling.

Stephen Ministry: This is one on one care with the expectation of women with women and men with men. Ministry participants meet once a week at a place determined between the two individuals. This is NOT professional counseling but “Christ caring for people through people”. A Stephen Minister is someone who has been through fifty hours of training to be an active listener, prayer partner, and moral support.
