Each group has an internal group calendar.  That is the calendar you find in the EVENTS tab inside your group page in Planning Center Online.  On that calendar you load the group meetings and special events so that they will appear on your group page as well as email you an attendance request.

There is also a “master calendar” in Planning Center Online that church staff uses to manage rooms and other resources.  One issue we have always had is that when a group changes their time, their location, takes a break, switches to a closed group, or comes to and end we don’t do a very good job of letting Sandy Auten or Christian Patterson know so that they can update the master calendar.

Chad and I have done our best to stay in front of that but we haven’t done a very good job with all the moving pieces.  I would ask for your assistance in helping keep everything up-to-date.  For now that may mean letting those ladies know what your group is doing or reminding Chad or I to follow-up.  I would like to create something more systematic soon but in the short term we would really appreciate your assistance in keeping the lines of communication open.
