September 22nd is the big day.  The builder officially arrives on the campus.  We will walk out the perimeter of the construction fence and once locations and signage are agreed to they start putting the fence up.   By prayer service on Wed. 8/24 the fence should be most of the way up with completion scheduled for next Thursday.  That means that this Sunday is the last Sunday before the big changes reroute much of our outdoor activity.  Please make sure your people know this is coming and are clear about what to expect.

LOT G

This week much of my attention was directed at getting Lot G ready to be put into service.  Lot G still has a new entry to be placed but otherwise it is ready to go.  We just finished marking the parking space lines this morning.

PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY

We are still in the process of clearing and placing a pedestrian walkway.  This walkway will exit Lot E and wrap around Lot G and connect with the Loop Road.  The goal of this new route for pedestrians is to get our people away from walking on the small drive leading to Lot E.  This is primarily for safety reasons with cars so close to pedestrians and small kids darting about.

LOT D

The chains and stanchions have now been installed for L0t D.  Lot D is the parking lot behind & below the Discipleship Building.  This lot will be used for parents with small children, a significant number of children, or parents who are transporting a car seat, stroller, or other equipment.  I believe this is the best solution to minimize the number of small children and bulky gear from the shuttle trips so that we can move the largest number of people in the fastest and safest way possible.

Lot D will require a blue hangtag to enter.  Please see someone in the Discovery Kids Ministry to look into getting a hangtag for Lot D.
