Every summer we engage in our planning season and that almost always means some type of change.  Some years it is minor and some years it is profound.  This year is more than change its the end of a season.

Last week Karen Hernandez submitted her resignation.  She has spent the last year providing special care for our local Spanish-speaking community.  The care she provided allowed us to be a river not a pond.  Through her we flowed into a community we had never been able to minister within before.   Her unique skills, perspectives, and abilities will be sorely missed.  Karen’s last day in the office will be June 27th.

This week Lori Granger submitted her resignation.  Lori has spent years supporting Stephen Ministry, Elizabeth’s House, local outreach, Adult Discipleship, and so much more.  Lori’s consistent, conscientious, and detailed support will be missed as well.  Her way of listening, compassion for, and care of those in need has always encouraged me.  Her last day in the office will be July 3rd.

I know both ladies will be moving into new adventures in life and God will be with them each step of the way.  I am grateful for our time working together, the Kingdom building completed, and the way they represented Jesus and Discovery Church.  It will be the end of a unique team and a special season in the life of Caring Ministry.
