GROUP-SPECIFIC COMMUNICATIONS
- Share changes with group members weekly.
- Offer rides or help with special parking needs.
- Encourage prayer for safety and unity.
KEY TALKING POINTS:
Tone to Use When Sharing:
- Be positive and reassuring — this is an exciting season of growth!
- Use simple, clear language — avoid technical or complicated terms.
- Remind people that signage, maps, and volunteers will be available to help.
- Encourage patience and flexibility as we build together.
There are a lot of exciting things happening this week as we are getting ready to break ground on the new sanctuary building in September. Here’s what’s happening in our construction project this week.
Loop Road Completion
- The new **loop road is finished** and will be open for use on **Sunday, June 15th
- This is a key improvement that will significantly improve traffic flow on campus, especially during peak arrival and departure times.
Tent Installations for Shuttle Waiting Areas
- We’ve ordered two large 15×30 tents to create shuttle waiting areas in Lot E
- The tents will also have benches for seating once they are installed
- We’re still waiting for shipping information and a delivery date, but the plan is to install them as soon as they arrive
Facilities Building is Nearly Completed
- Once complete, it will house:
- Golf carts and people movers
- Our maintenance team’s workshop
- Once complete, it will house:
- Long-term storage for certain items
- This will centralize and streamline many of our operational needs.
- The Storage Barn at the Roseman House is Being Removed
- It is scheduled for tear down and removal in the next two weeks.
- This step is necessary to make room for the fire access road
- This is an important piece to comply with the City of Hickory requirements as part of the larger construction plan.
GENERAL REMINDERS:
To be used in conjunction with the talking points above: The talking points are mostly construction details about what is happening and when. These changes can lead to frustrations and concern. It is important to have a few points to share that let people know we are expanding so we can do more kingdom-building work. This is a temporary season, and we will make it through together.
Let’s Grow Together!
As we move into this exciting season of building our new space, here are a few reminders to help things go smoothly for everyone:
- Grace Will Get Us Through
- We’re all in this together! Our parking team and volunteers are working hard to keep everyone safe and make sure you have the information you need. Please be patient and extend grace as they serve during a busy time. A kind word or smile can go a long way!
- Love Your Neighbor – Give Them a Spot
- We have a lot of great things happening, but as we are building to it, parking will be tight for a little while. If you’re able, park a little farther out or carpool with friends. This helps leave closer spots for those who really need them.
- Come Early, Help Others
- The 8:00 AM service still has plenty of space! Coming early or choosing that service helps ease parking pressure and makes room for families and guests later in the morning.
- Join a S.T.A.R. Team
- Help us represent Jesus. We need volunteers for greeting, parking, ushering and more. Serving is a great way to bless others and be part of what God is building!
